Coconut Jelly

coconut jello

When Natasha of 5 Star Culinary Adventures approached us to do a guest post with the theme "5 Star Make Overs," we were honored, but had no idea what to do. But a few days later, a box of treats from Marx Foods, an online gourmet bulk specialty store came and the aroma that hit us like a 2 ton truck were the Madagascar vanilla beans. We knew just just had to incorporate it in a recipe somehow.

We decided to make over jello, or more specifically gelatin. To see our full contribution to the 5 Star Make Over, hop on over to our friend Natasha's 5 Star Culinary Adventures!

  5. This is so cool! I'm impressed that Hong and Kim made their own vanilla extract, I want to make my own too! Also, I like this combination of different textures, the jello and young coconut flesh must work well together. Kudos for creativity and great imagination!
