On a recent degustation trip to New York City, Eleven Madison Park was our favorite. They treated us like rock stars. We felt like high rollers P. Diddy and Lady Gaga all one. From the food to the service, Eleven Madison Park, you took our breaths away. Words hardly begin to describe this extraordinary dining experience so we'll leave you with this visual replay...
Five different amuses from halibut tea and seaweed lavash, black truffle beignet, fluke and king crab, to smoke sturgeon and caviar.
Sea urchin panna cotta with apple and celery
Langoustine ceviche with celery and apple
Sturgeon sabayon in egg shells
Carrot roasted with cumin, dates and wheat berries
Snapper slow cooked with bergemot, fennel and shellfish
Veal blanquette with winter vegetables and smoked bone marrow
Pork braised with mustard, spatzle and apple cider
Jasmine and tangerine sorbet, orange shortbread and cilantro
Chocolate creameux with banana and black sesame
Words of inspiration from Miles Davis at entrance to the kitchen followed by tour with live demo.
Result of live demo: Liquid nitrogen orange sorbet and coconut ice cream with whiskey and bitters
Mignardises with bottle of pear brandy in the lounge.
